There was once a huge city called Mehopolis, after the founder, Meh the Great. It stood proud and tall without flaws of any kind, for it had more power than all the cities combined. It had...the power of Meh. Unfortunately, with great power comes great enemies who in this story are slime; the most gruesome and most evil beings to ever roam the land. One night, they attacked the city. Explosions could be heard as the slimes slaughtered the innocent inhabitants mercilessly. Alas, there was one survivor, a brave young cat named Meh - after Meh the Great, who was born on the same day as the great founder. She had fur as orange and as bright as the tongues of flames that devoured Mehopolis, her city, and three black stripes between her ears. She ran as fast as she could, away from the destruction that was once her home. She ran through the thick woods that surrounded her once prosperous city. Past the mountainous stretch and across the marshy bogs; in rain, snow, or shine.
Soaking wet, cold, exhausted and terrified, she collapsed on the edge of a town, though she did not know that.
***************
"Where am I?" asked Meh wearily as she awoke from a warm bed. She was in somebody's house. There was a piano in the corner with a mess of undecipherable sheets of music on the lid and a window opposite the bed. Meh ventured out of the room and found a man with his back to her, seemingly deep in thought. She tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around. Meh gasped.
"Oh my Meh-ness! It's Beethoven! I've listened to all of your symphonies, sonatas, string quartets, piano trios, you name it! Can I please have your autograph?"
"Can you repeat that? I can't hear you." he replied with a strong German accent. Meh sighed, exasperated. "Meh, I totally forgot that the became deaf. Well, at least he can speak Mehnese!" Whipping out a notebook, she wrote:
"Oh my Meh-ness! It's Beethoven! I've listened to all of your symphonies, sonatas, string quartets, piano trios, you name it! Can I please have your autograph?", and then handed it over to Beethovne who wrote in almost unintelligible writing, "I know my name is Ludwig van Beethoven. By writing that, I just gave you my autograph. You are currently in my house, I found you on the outskirts of town. What the MOZART were you doing out there?!" Meh the Cat explained everything to Beethoven. He looked out towards the window, wrote something down in the and handed it back to meh. He wroteL "I think I know what you can do. Beyond the forest lies a large city. In there is a cat by the name of TabbyCat. She is the best fighter in all the land. However, I don't believe she will be enough but she should definitely know some people who can help. The city is north from here. I'm afraid that I cannot come with you; I must sketch out my 10th symphony and my 33rd sonata." Then, he fed her, and ushered her out the door with a pack.
And so off Meh went, north of Beethoven's village to find this TabbyCat in the hopes of reclaiming her city and avenging her people. Meh had an uneventful journey through the forest which took 3 days and 2 nights.
When Meh arrived at the city gates which were guarded by two white cats, she gazed at it in sheer amazement. It was made out of some mesmerizing purple material and had a golden plaque on it which was engraved with the words: "Our lineage is of small matter in life, what matters is our actions." Below it was an engraved image of an angel wing and a devil wing, side by side. Meh thought to herself: "Well, this cat sure lives in a fancy place, I hope she isn't a douchecat."
she then persuaded the guards to let her pass by giving them a bag of precious stones that she had collected on her travels, and walked into the city.
As she walked into the city she thought to herself: "And so my journey begins..."
